"I want to push the boundaries" - Robert Kristiansson on eHealth in Almedalen
Come and listen to Robert Kristiansson, Chief Medical Officer Health and Habilitation at Landstinget in Uppsala County, share his vision of the future of Swedish healthcare.
Why do you come to Almedalen?
If you are as passionate as me about quality improvement in health care, and want to inspire others, then Almedalen is inevitable.
Most exciting topic at the moment?
It’s an extremely exciting time. Swedish health care has never been better! Yet there are so many challenges right now and I’m very interested in the discussions of the free flow of information around patients.
There's the legal aspect that I feel that we need to discuss and resolve. Then there’s the technical and work process angle where we could improve things right now, if we want to, have the knowledge and the courage.
This is where I want to push the boundaries and see how much a patient-centric health care really means when it challenges the rules and conventions. An exciting journey and something that I definitely bring to Almedalen.
